Cross Country Annual Runathon

On Wednesday night, Decatur Central’s 2014 cross country team partnered with coaches, alumni, and parents to raise money for this upcoming season. They collected pledges from friends, family, and neighbors before participating in this annual event.

Knapp Takes Sixth at GLVC Championships

Hawk Harriers Wrap up Season

The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams finished their season at the Semi State Championships on Saturday, October 26.  Sophomore Kyle Gross and Senior Amy Carpenter advanced there after qualifying individually out of both the Sectional and Regional Tournament. Amy Carpenter ran 19:33 to finish 41st overall and missed advancing by a mere 17 seconds.

The Decatur Central Cross Country Harriers hosted the Midstate Cross Country Championships on Saturday.  Both boys and girls team finished 6th in the conference. The Decatur Central Cross Country Team was in action Saturday for our home invitational The Golden Spike.  Both teams came up 3rd of 11 schools.  Winning the meet on the boys side was Whiteland and on the girls Mooresville. Hawks Finish Second and Third at Jon Mitchell

On Saturday the Hawks competed in Clayton, Indiana at the Jon Mitchell Invitational at Cascade High School.  Paced by Emily Huber (21:40), the Lady Hawk Pack finished third of six teams.  Other notable performances were by Julie Barnett (22:08), Brandee Law (22:20), and Freshman Faith Kline (22:59).  All performances listed above were personal records for

Carpenter and Crites get Wins at Bishop Chatard Invite

The Decatur Central Hawks were in action last Wednesday at the Bishop Chatard Invitational.  Seniors Dakota Crites and Amy Carpenter came away with individual wins.  This marks Crites first individual victory with a time of 17:58 on the 5k course at IUPUI.  Sophomore Kyle Gross was second in the meet with 18:10  Amy Carpenter won
