After a tough loss to Brebeuf in the Marion County Tournament, the Hawks were ready to gain some redemption.
But, Tech in a last minute communication confessed their struggle to man a full team. So, the Hawks were defaulted a few points just because of numbers.
So, the Hawks had a lone match to determine the victory of the match. And after a lot of injuries and some experimentation over the last few matches leading up to Sectional play next week, the Hawks sent out a young gun, Luke Starnes, to man the fort.
And Starnes walked away with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Tech’s Darren Johnson, making the match a clean sweep.
The Hawks are at home again tomorrow night against Lutheran for their last home match of the season as well as the last regular season match before sectionals next week. Get up Hawks!
