The Hawks traveled to Perry Meridian on Thursday Night and were defeated by the score of 60-49. That really does not tell the story. The story began with a sluggish start by the Hawk who trailed by 3 at the end of the first quarter. That was followed by a scoring and defensive show to give the Hawks a half time lead of 4. In the 3 period the Hawk lead by as many as 10, but gave it all back by the end of the 3rd and went into the forth quarter tied at 42. In the end because of foul trouble and injuries to key players the Hawks just could not pull it out the win.

The Hawks key performer of the night was Izzy Burr who put on a rebounding clinic. She grab a season and career high 17 rebounds and added 13 points to that. It was here second double-double of the year in as many tries. Other key performers for the Hawks were Vanessa Wilson who missed only one shot and had 15 points along with 5 steal. Kenzee Smith was also solid with 9 points and 4 steals before leaving in the 3rd quarter with an injury.

The Hawk meet Greenwood Christian on Saturday Night to try and move back to above 500 mark on this young season. Varsity start time will be 7:30PM.
