On Snow-Coming night in front of a packed house the Hawks did not disappoint the home crowd. The Hawks had their best start to a game of the season by getting off to a 19-2 early lead. They took that lead and never let the Woodmen any closer than 9 the the rest of the game. The 63-47 win was the Hawk first conference win.

In a total team effort the Hawk had a special performance from Kenzee Smith. Kenzee added to her double/double collection with 25 points and 10 rebounds. She shot and incredible 9/13 from the field and hit, and amazing 5-6 3 pointers. In an interview with Coach Gibbs he stated ” It was an incredible performance. I was blessed to see a great young woman put on a great show. I knew she had this in her and I am so glad I was around to see it.” Every time Greenwood tried to make a run it seemed like Kenzee Smith was there to put an end to it.

Kenadi Brand in her 3rd full game back shot 4/5 from the field. She finished with a double/ double of her own.(10 points and 11 rebounds) Cadence Thomas had another solid performance scoring 10 points. Last but definitely not least, Vanessa Wilson stuffed the stat sheet. She had 8 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assist, and 4 steals. It was again a total team effort.

The win moved the Hawks to 9 wins and 10 losses. The Hawks square off at home on Tuesday January 28 agains Guerin Catholic. This will be the Hawks last home game and our seniors Cailin Barr, Kenzee Smith and Vanessa Wilson will be honored at half time.
