WP- Karli Ricketts 10Ks‬
‪ Kenzee Smith SV, 3Ks‬
‪Notables: Justine Estes 2 for 3 3 run HR, triple, Hannah Cravens 2 for 4 HR, Ricketts 3 for 3 two doubles, Payton Baxter 3 for 4‬

Hawks out hit the Rebels 12 to 5. Hawks scored first when senior Hannah Cravens reached base on a single, Kenzee Smith moved her to second on a sac bunt, the Rebels elected to intentionally walk senior Karli Ricketts to get to fellow senior Justine Estes the clean up hitter who then hit a full count pitch over the left field fence to put DC up 3-0 in the 3rd inning. Hawks would add a fourth run in the 4th inning when Skylar Peace in just her 2nd varsity start of the season hammered a triple to right field to set up a Kaylee Gross RBI. Ricketts and Estes combo struck again in the 5th as both seniors scored to make it 6-0 Decatur Central. Not to be outdone Cravens scores in the 6th with a solo home run, Hawks up 7-0!

A lot of area pitchers have been getting the attention lately which probably fueled Karli Ricketts on the mound in tonight’s rematch with Roncalli as she was bringing every pitch with bad intentions as she started the game off with 7 strikeouts through the first three innings. After being up 7-0 in the bottom of the 6th the Rebels were able to put some base runners on with some hits so the DC coaching staff changed it up by bringing in sophomore Kenzee Smith to finish the game with 3 strikeouts in two innings of work.
