The Hawks in game number 2 on the day fell to host Southport Cardinals. The Hawks inability to get any consistency on offense led on 26 points. Even with the bad offense, theyHawks continued to battle and made it a 2 possession game with 4 minutes remaining.

The Hawks were led in scoring by Vanessa Wilson (8) and Kenzee Smith (7). Mya Jackson led both teams in rebounding. Mya grabbed 7 rebound in the game.

Coach Gibbs said after the game “I am proud of these girls. I am happy with where we are right now. In this loss, I saw some good things and also things we can fix. We will get back at it Monday, and be ready for our first conference game against Perry on Thursday.”

Hawks host Perry on Thursday November 14, in both JV and varsity action. The JV game will begin at 6pm with the Varsity to follow 20 minutes after.
