The Lady Hawks win their 2nd game in a row defeating the Broad Ripple 56-39. The win moved the Lady Hawks record to 6-8. Due to sickness the Hawks were without varsity starter Kyrstyn Dyson and several others. The Hawks did not let that phase them as the exploded for a 16 point first quarter and then a 18 point 2nd quarter. Those 2 quarters allowed the Lady Hawks the opportunity to cruse to a 17 point win.
The Hawks got outstanding games from a number of players. Vanessa Smith lead the way with 18 points and 6 assists . Wilson also had (4) 3-pointers on the night. The next key contributions came from Ajulu Thatha who scored 14 points and added 10 rebounds.
The Hawks continue their road trip as they head to Northwest High School on Tuesday for a JV and Varsity clash.
