Decatur Central girls get their 14th win of the season in a barn burner that saw 4 lead changes in the last 2 minutes of the game. In the 4th quarter both teams lit it up, (24 -21) but the Hawks held on to win 67-62.

The Hawks got a big game from Ajulu Thathu. She had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and a season high 4 assists. Ajulu had a great shooting night hitting 8 of her 12 shoots. Vanessa Wilson was CLUTCH down the stretch scoring 9 of her 18 in the 4th quarter when the Hawks really needed buckets. Kenzee Smith contribution could not be overlooked as she had 10 points, 6 board, 5 assists, and 3 steals. He final steal lead gave the Hawks the lead late in the 4th quarter. Issy Burr added 9 points of her own and grabbed 7 boards. Kenadi Brand had 4 points and Miya Kakazu added 2 to round out the scoring.

The Hawk win was their 2nd in a row and a big momentum boost as they head to Greenwood for a Mid-State match up on Friday night.
