Decatur Central Hawks Overcome Park Tudor In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning
Park Tudor scored four runs in the first inning, but Decatur Central Hawks still won 9-4 on Friday. Park Tudor big bats were led by Tommy Gallagher, Hank Seymore, and Ethan Scroggins, who all drove in runs.
Park Tudor opened up an early lead in the first inning when Seymore grounded out, scoring one run.
Decatur Central Hawks took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Derik Profitt doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Parker Harrington doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, and Devin Gross grounded out, scoring one run.
Bryce Woodruff was credited with the victory for Decatur Central Hawks. He allowed three hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out five.
Scroggins took the loss for Park Tudor. He went three and a third innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out three.
Decatur Central Hawks collected nine hits on the day. Profitt, Bradley Brehmer , Harrington, and Jared Thompson each managed multiple hits for Decatur Central Hawks. Profitt led Decatur Central Hawks with three hits in three at bats.
