The Decatur Central Aquahawk Men kicked off their season victorious against Speedway and Bishop Chatard on Tuesday evening at DCHS. The Aquahawks went on to win nine of the contested eleven events (no male divers competed).
Swimmer of the meet for the Men’s team is Freshman Bobby Shaw. Bobby swam two lifetime best times in the 200 and 500 Freestyles, for a total of 10.3 seconds.
“The men’s team stepped up to the plate tonight and swam great,” said Head Coach Charles Grace. “As a young team, it is great to see the group start to come together and see these results. They are working very hard in training and the results are beginning to show.”

400 Freestyle Relay of Brayden Vandeventer, Timothy Nowling, Jason Frosch, and Brendan Hayes
The 2-0 Aquahawks return from Thanksgiving Break with three contests next week: Tuesday night at Whiteland HS, Thursday night against Beech Grove at DCHS, and Saturday morning against Mooresville at DCHS!
