The Aquahawk Men lost a hard fought battle at Whiteland Community High School on Tuesday night 124-56. Whiteland swept all twelve events of the men’s meet, but the Hawks were able to secure six 2nd place finishes in the following events:

200 Medley Relay of Brayden Vandeventer, PJ Paul, Timothy Nowling, and Dylan Rohrman
Timothy Nowling – 50 Freestyle
200 Freestyle Relay of Jason Frosch, PJ Paul, Brendan Hayes, and Phillip Curry
Dylan Rohrman – 100 Backstroke
Jason Frosch – 100 Breaststroke
400 Freestyle Relay of Dylan Rohrman, Timothy Nowling, Jason Frosch, and Brayden Vandeventer

“The boys stepped up in the second half of the meet and finished well,” head coach Charles Grace stated. “Whiteland is a quality conference opponent and our boys challenged themselves to close the gap between the programs. Our team atmosphere was very positive, despite the result, and the boys were rewarded for their positivity with quality results. Many walked away from tonight with new lifetime best times. For a midseason dual meet, that’s very impressive.”

Swimmer of the meet honors for the Whiteland meet go to Junior Dylan Rohrman. Dylan swam to a lifetime best time in the 100 Butterfly and swam into a fantastic finish to pick up a second place finish in the 100 Backstroke. His anchor Freestyle leg of the 200 Medley Relay secured the Hawks a second place finish.

The 2-1 Aquahawks next compete on Thursday night against Beech Grove High School at DCHS. Meet starts at 5:30pm at the Decatur Township Natatorium! Come out and support your Hawks!
