Nicole DeStefano, MS, ATC, LAT, PES, ITAT
Certified Athletic Trainer

Nicole has been a certified athletic trainer since 2005 and began working at Decatur Central in July of 2012. She graduated from Penn State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Training and began working as an athletic trainer at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While serving as a high school athletic trainer she completed her Master’s of Science degree in Health Promotion and Performance Enhancement from California University of Pennsylvania in 2009.
After working in Pittsburgh for 7 years, Nicole moved to Indianapolis and began working for Community Health Network-Sports Medicine and Decatur Central HS in 2012.
Nicole has experience working with summer baseball leagues, Nike Sparq football camps, soccer invitational camps, and marathons. She has additional certifications as a Performance Enhancement Specialist, in concussions as an ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer, and in Selective Functional Movement Assessment. She currently assists with the concussion management team at Community Health Network-Sports Medicine and the Athletes Saving Athletes program.
