Hawks News · Lady Hawk Hoopers Take It on The Chin at Perry Meridian (31-47)

The Hawks went into Perry fresh off of a big win against Southport.   Sadly the poor shooting and turnovers would not allow the winning streak to continue as fell by the score of 31-47.

In the first half the Hawks could only muster 8 points (6 point in the first and 2 in the second). The positive side however, was that the Hawk defense was up to the challenge. The Hawks only allowed 12 in the quarter.  In the 3rd quarter Perry picked up the pace and the Decatur could not match the intensity. Thing fell apart for Decatur in the quarter as Perry outscored the Hawks 22-10 and eventually went on to a 16 point win.

The Hawks leading scorer and rebounder was Mya Jackson. She finished the game with 9 points and 5 rebounds.  Other key contributors were Cadence Thomas (8 points) and Maddie Wachnicki (7 points).  The Hawks next contest will be versus #1 ranked Greenwood Christian on Saturday November 14th
