Hawks Cheerleading has New Leader

Decatur Central has named Payton Livingston as the new Head Coach for the Cheerleading program. Payton was born and raised in Plainfield, Indiana, where she was a sideline and competitive cheerleader.

“Payton brings knowledge and passion for education based athletics to Decatur Township. She will do a great job building our program and educating our students,” said Director of Athletics Justin Dixson.

Payton attended Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is currently a 6th grade teacher at Valley Mills Elementary in Decatur Township.

Coach Livingston said, “I’m honored to continue working alongside the athletes and coaches in our program. My vision is to build the student-athlete experience and continue growing our involvement within the community. It’s truly an exciting opportunity for me to be able to see this program grow as we head into our upcoming seasons.”
