Marion Adams Flooring Athletes of the Month- November 2018

The Decatur Central High School Athletic Department in partnership with corporate sponsor Marion Adams Flooring is happy to recognize the dedication, perseverance, and success of Decatur Central student-athletes. Each month during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years, Decatur Central Athletics awards the “Marion Adams Flooring Athlete of the Month Award.” This award is given to one female and one male student-athlete who have displayed athletic excellence in all areas of competition during the previous month. Marion Adams Flooring is proud to recognize student-athletes for their athletic achievements each month while supporting the Decatur Central Athletic Department.

The November female Student-Athlete of the month is D.C.H.S. Senior Izzabella Decker. Izzabella is a 4 year varsity cheerleader. Throughout her High School career she has emerged as a leader on the team not only during performances but in practices as well. Coach Becky Williams said, “It’s a joy to see such a talented young lady continue to work hard even though she has mastered her sport. She is well rounded and so much fun to watch!”

Junior Kenny Tracy is the November male Student-Athlete of the Month. The DCHS Junior was a key player on both sides of the ball throughout the season. On the offensive side, Kenny racked up 1,462 yards rushing, 585 yards receiving, and 33 touchdowns. Defensively he compiled 51 tackles, which includes 6 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. For his performance on the field Kenny was voted 1st Team all Mid-State Conference, 1st Team All Marion County, and IFCA 5A Junior All-State 1st Team. “Junior Kenny Tracy had a remarkable football season, leading the Hawks to their first ever Regional and Semi-State titles, while playing both offense and defense for the Hawks during their run to the State Championship game. Kenny is a leader on the field and in the classroom and imaginations a 3.73 GPA. Kenny is a great example of what it means to be a student-athlete and works very hard in everything that he does. Look for Kenny to also excel on the basketball floor this Winter and on the track this Spring” said Coach Enright.
