The Decatur Central High School Swimming and Diving Aquahawks are actively looking for new swimmers AND divers for its 2018-19 season! It is not too late to get involved with the Aquahawks!
All prospective athletes MUST have completed and submitted their 2018-19 school year Sports Physical and their online acknowledgement forms (at DCHawks.com) before they can begin organized training sessions! If you are a transfer student this year, please see Mr. Staton in the Athletic Office to begin the IHSAA required transfer process! In addition to completed paperwork, an athlete shall bring the following items to EVERY training session:
- One piece bathing suit
- Swimmers: Competitive swim goggles and Center Mount Snorkel
- For those with long hair, we recommend a swimming cap to wear during training!
- T-shirt, shorts, and athletic shoes for any dryland training sessions!
- Towel and other toiletries for after training sessions!
- Lock to secure items in our locker rooms!
The 2018-19 Girls Swim season begins on Monday, October 22nd at 4:10pm at the Decatur Township Natatorium! Boys begin TWO weeks later on Monday, November 5th at 4:10pm! Our swimmers train 8 times per week: 4 Sessions in the Morning (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday) and 4 Sessions in the Afternoon (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). Divers train 6 times per week (Monday-Friday afternoon and Saturday mornings). Training sessions for both swimmers and divers include in water and dryland trainings! Both seasons will end in the month of February!

Preseason Training Opportunities ONGOING!!
Current athletes are already in the water in preparation for the 2018-19 season! Swimmers interested in preseason training should join the Decatur Township Aquatic Club, our competitive USA Swimming program for Decatur Township! Divers have the opportunity to begin working with DCHS Diving Coach, Romily Bridges, after school until 6pm.
