The Pride of Decatur Central Award was presented at Friday night’s DC-Franklin doubleheader by the DC Athletic Hall of Fame. Lt. Aaron Allan and David Rather receive the honor that is given for lifetime achievement. In the first photo, Superintendent Matt Prusiecki and former football coach Mike Gillin present the award to Lt. Allan’s widow Stacy, son Aaron Jr., and Bob Curl, assistant Southport Police Chief.

In the second photo, superintendent Prusiecki presents the award to Dave Rather who is with his wife Kathy, daughter Brooke Ellis and son Brad, and two grandson.

The of Decatur Central Award is a very special recognition of a DC alumnus or staff member who has gone above and beyond in representing our school and community. This award recognizes the recipient’s LIFETIME of work and dedication to the ideals that represent the best of being a HAWK.
