The Lady Hawks won their 3rd game in a row in a nail biter, beating the Cascade Cadets by the score of 52-50. The Hawks trailed by 12 early in the first quarter, but battle back to and impressive win with some grit and team play. The grit game from the primarily the defensive end of the floor. The Lady Hawks were led in scoring by Vanessa Wilson who scored 18 points. Both Kenzee Smith and Issy Burr added 12 points each and were instrumental in the come from behind victory. Last year the Hawks lost to the Cadets by a score of 60-39. This year the Hawks were determined not have that happen again. After struggling defensively in first quarter, giving up 20 points, the Hawks held the Cadets to only 10 in each quarter over the next 3 quarters. This defense lead the way to the victory.
The Hawks moved 3-1 on the young season and their next opponent will be Whiteland on Wednesday, November 22.
