Decatur Central Hawks defeated Pike 6-2 thanks to a strong start. Decatur Central Hawks scored on a walk by Trent Grogan in the first inning and a double by Jared Thompson in the second inning.

Pike captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Pike.

Decatur Central Hawks took the lead for good with two runs in the first inning. In the first Hug walked Trent Grogan to drive in a run and Nolan Wade hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.

Parker Harrington earned the win for Decatur Central Hawks . He threw three innings, giving up two runs, five hits, striking out four, and walking zero. Wade threw three innings, as two relievers helped Decatur Central Hawks finish off the victory. Quarles took the loss for Pike. He went three innings, allowing three runs, four hits, and striking out one.

Hug started the game for Pike. He tossed, giving up two runs, and zero hits.

Decatur Central Hawks collected six hits. Jared Thompson and Harrington each collected multiple hits for Decatur Central Hawks . Harrington and Thompson all had two hits to lead Decatur Central Hawks .
